Telehealth—Teletherapy and Telepsychiatry Services Now Available
Even during this unique time of social distancing and home quarantining, mental health care is still needed. Call now to schedule a telehealth visit with one of our friendly mental health counselors.
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth—also known as telemedicine or online counseling—allows our psychiatrists and counselors to communicate with you via phone, computer, tablet or video chat. You and your provider choose the experience. If privacy at home is a concern or access to telehealth resources is limited, you are welcome to use a private, telehealth room at Regional to speak with a Regional counselor or psychiatrist. These rooms are available at select locations during regular business hours.
What mental health services are available through Telehealth?
Regional offers online therapy, telepsychiatry, counseling, group therapy and outpatient substance use treatment services. Unfortunately, at this time, telehealth services are not available to new clients from Illinois
Which video chat tool should I use?
The choice is yours. Whether your preference is Zoom, Skype, FaceTime or Google Meet, we can virtually visit with you.
Don’t hesitate. Contact us if you need help. One of our caring professionals will talk to you, give you options for services and even schedule your first appointment.
4 easy steps to schedule your appointment
1. Schedule a video chat or telephone visit by calling 219-769-4005
If you are a new patient, no worries! Registration can be completed over the phone.
Individuals without a computer or a phone can use designated telehealth rooms at select locations. Ask our intake specialists about this service during registration.
2. Get ready for your visit
For your convenience, we are using both telephone calls and video chat tools for telehealth appointments. Whether your preference is Zoom, Skype, FaceTime or Google Meet, we can virtually visit with you—just let our mental health providers know which one and we will send you a link via text or email to access the appointment.
If you choose a virtual visit, make sure your computer, phone or tablet has a camera and microphone. Also, check your device to see if the video chat application is installed and working correctly. Lastly, video uses a lot of data, so be sure to connect to WiFi if you have a data limit on your cellular plan.
If you prefer, we can do over the phone counseling and over the phone psychiatry
