Search For Scientific Articles and Book Chapters

PubMed
The PubMed database includes citations to biomedical journal articles going back to the mid 1960's. Around 4500 journals, covering all aspects of health and medicine, including behavioral health, are indexed for PubMed. Both very simple more complex search strategies can be used to search PubMed. Links are included from the citations to articles that are available full-text online, either free to the public or by subscription. NLM Gateway
The NLM Gateway provides one access point to multiple databases maintained by the National Library of Medicine, including MEDLINE (1966- ), OLDMEDLINE (pre 1966), MEDLINEplus, LOCATORplus, DIRLINE, and others. These databases index various types of health-related materials such as citations to journal articles, books, serials, and audiovisuals, and meeting abstracts. PsychInfo
The PsychInfo database provides searchable access to published psychological and social sciences literature. Online access to PsychInfo costs money. Anyone can purchase a 24-hour pass to the system for $9.95. Americal Psychological Association members can purchase an annual pass for approximately $50.
