Substance Abuse Treatment
Regional Mental Health Center offers several outpatient and residential treatment programs for individuals seeking substance use and gambling addiction treatment. All services are private and confidential, and anyone can request services—a referral is not needed.
Residential Detoxification Programming
Available to individuals whose physical dependence on drugs and/or alcohol requires detoxification. Detoxification lasts up to 9 days.
Residential Treatment Programming
Admission is on a voluntary basis for individuals with moderate to severe addictions. Programming includes individual and group therapy, discharge planning and more. Average stay is 14 days.
Halfway House – Supportive Living Environment
Programming helps clients develop and practice skills that create and maintain a healthy recovery from addiction. Treatment includes group and individual therapy, educational groups, case management and introduction to self-help groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotic Anonymous and Celebrate Recovery.
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with the use of Vivitrol (Naltrexone) is available to clients meeting the Vivitrol-protocol requirements. Clients must remain active in an addiction treatment component for the entirety of the MAT, which averages 1 to 1.5 years.
Outpatient Substance Use Programming
Several levels of outpatient treatment are available to individuals and families experiencing problems with alcohol or other drugs. Levels include intensive outpatient services; therapy services ranging from group, family, couple and individual therapy; and 12-step Anonymous groups. Spanish-speaking services are available.
Adolescent Outpatient Group
Regional's adolescent program educates young individuals about the psychological an physical effects of substance use. Individuals also receive education on the 12-step program and coping skills to say sober. The group is offered 2 days per week for 12 weeks. Parent or guardian participation is encouraged.
Problem Gambling Addiction Services
Although technically not a substance, gambling is a very real addiction. Regional offers counseling services to adults and clients as young as eight years old. Our state endorsed gambling treatment providers are licensed addiction professionals.
